STROKE SCREENING SAVES LIVES
 

WHAT IS A STROKE SCREENING?

The Stroke Screening consist of 3 separate screenings.

1) Ultrasound of the Carotid Arteries that feed your brain and face which can demonstrate plaque buildup and potential stroke.
                    


2) This one goes with the third attachment 2) Ultrasound of the Aorta to look for an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm which is an abnormal weakening and enlargement of the aorta where it bifurcates to feed the legs.
                    


3) This one goes with the second attachment 3) Peripheral Arterial Disease Screening, this is a blood pressure screening called an Ankle/Brachial index ratio to look for constriction of the leg vessels.
